North And South Toyota Launched 9 New Cars in A Year, How Much Return Did It Get? The Reality Is Very Cruel

The development of a brand is inseparable from the continued best-selling of its models. In theory, the more products a car brand has, the higher the sales it can get. But the reality is often unsatisfactory. No matter who it is, the best-selling models will always be so many "veterans." Consumers will not pay for all the models of a car brand. Toyota is an example.
In the past, Toyota’s first impression of Chinese people was prudent, and it was very cautious when launching new cars or replacing existing models. However, this year, Toyota seems to be thinking about building new models in the country, intending to further develop through car tactics. The domestic auto market is flexing its muscles.
FAW Toyota launched three new models, the Asian Lion, Crown Lufang, and Lingfang HARRIER. The Corolla sharp will also be launched soon. Next year, FAW Toyota will launch a sister model of Sina; and in GAC The same is true for Toyota. Lingshang, Sina, and the fourth-generation Highlander have all been launched, and Weisha and Fenglanda will also be launched soon.
Toyota North and South has launched a total of 9 new cars in one year, which is extremely rare in the automotive field. Many car companies have not yet had 9 models, and even Evergrande Motor has just launched 6 models in one go. , Toyota's ambitions are also thoroughly exposed.
However, most of these 9 new cars are only built for market segments. Take Asia Lion and Lingshang as examples. Toyota's positioning is only the A+ class car between Corolla and Camry. The cake in this market is not big; the same is true for Lingfang HARRIER and Weisa, positioning them between RAV4. Between Rongfang and Highlander, among the new cars that have been on the market, strictly speaking, only Sina has a larger market prospect, and the Crown Lufang is only a sister model of the fourth-generation Highlander.
It is precisely because of this that although Toyota is constantly launching new models, it has received very little return. Take Asia Lion and Ling Shang as examples. Asia Lion has been listed as early as April, and Ling Shang was also listed in June. From the perspective of competitiveness, Asia Lion and Ling Shang are at least equipped with at least the same 2.0L Camry. Powertrain, but sales are not satisfactory.
As of November, the cumulative sales of Asian Lions in the eight months since its launch was only 24,802, with an average monthly sales volume of more than 3,000 in the house, and even only one sales in September. This is already considered as a Toyota car. Quite a failure; on Lingshang's side, it was even worse. In the six months since its launch, the cumulative sales volume was only 3,514 vehicles, and the sales volume in November was only 64 vehicles. The experience of the Asian Lion and Ling Shang has also been dubbed by the outside world as "the Toyota car may not sell too."
