Recently, New Energy Automobile Network learned from overseas media that Mercedes-Benz will recall some EQS in the United States. The reason for the recall is that it allows drivers to use a variety of functions and applications that affect driving safety while driving. Mercedes-Benz has Submitted a voluntary recall application to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
It is reported that Mercedes-Benz launched an investigation into the issue in November 2021, and subsequently discovered that there was an incorrect configuration on the Mercedes-Benz back-end server while driving. The server may have been installed. And the deactivation occurs on the vehicle that activates the Mercedes me connection account.
If the driver chooses to use these applications while driving, there is a potential safety risk, and no traffic accident or injury report caused by this problem has been received so far. This problem will be repaired by means of OTA over-the-air upgrade.
